Directing - Editing

As a director, editor or both on a project, I’m in my element when working together with a small team to bring the best out of a story. Whether it’s me and a director, or me a DP and a producer, clear communication can foster great partnerships. Collaboration within a team is the best way to bring a story to life. Some of the most creative parts of films I’ve made have come from being open to collaboration. A doctor we were filming with in Chad mentioned an idea for a scene; it turned out to be a fantastic idea. An advisor on a project made an editing note which made the last scene of a film so much better. Our translator in Malawi opened up a storyline that we never thought we’d be able to get by feeling free to ask our character probing questions. You never know where the best ideas will come from. 

I’m happy to take on a project from the beginning working with you on research and story outlines; Or work with you as an editor to find the best possible story in your footage.
